About A Dad’s Classroom

Practical, classroom-ready resources for upper elementary and middle school teachers who want engaging lessons without spending their whole planning period reinventing the wheel.

Hey, I’m Trey.

I started A Dad’s Classroom with a simple goal: help other teachers save time, lower the stress level, and still give students activities that feel meaningful. The resources here are built mostly for 4th through 8th grade classrooms, especially science, social studies, ELA, review games, gallery walks, and teacher-life ideas.

My favorite kind of classroom resource is the one that feels organized the moment you open it: clear directions, student-friendly structure, enough movement or discussion to keep kids engaged, and no extra chaos for the teacher. Basically, resources that make class feel doable.

Start with what you teach

What you’ll find here

  • Low-prep teaching ideas you can actually use during a normal school week.
  • Gallery walks and reading stations that help students move, read, discuss, and stay accountable.
  • Review games and test prep that feel more active than another worksheet.
  • Teacher-friendly resource spotlights when a ready-to-print activity can save planning time.
Teacher-to-teacher: I know how much teachers carry. If something on this site saves you even one planning headache, it did its job.
